SMS Transaction Alert

All AFFINBANK cardmembers are advised to update their mobile phone numbers immediately. AFFINBANK has implemented Transaction Alert via Short Messaging Service (SMS). Transaction Alert via Short Messaging Service (SMS) has been introduced since 1st January 2012. This is one of the measures by AFFINBANK to prevent fraud or unauthorized transaction. SMS Transaction Alert will be sent to the Cardmembers under the following circumstances:-

  1. First time use of the card upon activation
  2. Single transaction exceeding RM500
  3. All Card-Not-Present e.g Internet/MOTO (Mail Order & Telephone Order) transaction, regardless of the amount
  4. 6th transaction made in a day regardless of the amount

Cardmember can opt not to receive the SMS Transaction Alert or to change the threshold amount by completing the SMS Transaction Alert Maintenance Form which can be obtained from your nearest branch or at www.affinbank.com.my.
