Affin FDPLUS² Terms & Conditions:

1. Applicable to Fixed Deposit (FD) placement for a maximum of 3 month tenure (inclusive of FFD placement period) only.
   
   
2. Minimum fresh FD placement of RM5,000 for new and existing FD customers.
   
   
3. Customers shall be offered an additional 1.01% above the prevailing published rates for Local (Affin FD Plus) and Foreign Currency FD placement based on the following condition:
   
   

   • The placement must be converted into any of the Bank's six (6) major foreign currency, i.e USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, SGD and NZD for the purpose of foreign currency account (FCA) investment OR for remittance abroad for education or other purposes which are permissible within foreign exchange administrative rules. Interest paid on premature withdrawal FD placement without conversion into the stipulated foreign currency will be paid prevailing normal FD published rates for completed months only.
     
     
   • The period for which monies can be placed for both local and foreign FD shall be for a maximum of 3 month tenure (inclusive of FFD placement period) only. Interest shall be paid on placement runs for completed months only with foreign currency conversion. Partial withdrawal is not permitted.

     *The Affin FD Plus floor rate shall follow the prevailing normal FD rates should there be adverse movement in KLIBOR rates
     

4. Renewal is subject to the prevailing Affin FD Plus or Foreign FD published rates on the day of renewal without extra interest.
   
   
5. Interest rate and other charges for Foreign Currency placements shall be determined by the Bank at its sole discretion and written instructions for commencement of placement or renewal or withdrawal of funds must be received by the Bank at least 2 Business Days before the instruction's effective day to enable the deal to be done for value spot.
   
   "Business Day" means a day which banks in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and the principal financial centres for the currency involved are open for business.
   
   
6. Customer is required to open any Ringgit CASA account for disposition and conversion of foreign currency deposits. The Bank may debit the Customer's Foreign Currency account in the event it exceeds the prescribed limit under the Exchange Control of Malaysia. The excess will be converted into Ringgit at the Bank's prevailing buying rate and credit the Customer Ringgit account and the Customer shall have no claim on the Bank whatsoever for any loss of exchange/earnings perceived or otherwise resulting thereof.
   
   
7. The Fixed Deposit documentary evidence produced by the customer cannot be used to claim against the Bank and in the event of any dispute or conflict between the Bank's records and the records of the customer; the Bank's records shall prevail for all intents and purposes.
   
   
8. Generic terms & conditions shall at all times be applicable.
   
   
9. The Bank reserves the right at its absolute discretion to amend, delete and/or add to any of these terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice. The customer agrees that continued participation in the Affin FD Plus2 shall constitute their acceptance of these terms and conditions (as modified and varied from time to time)
