O.M.G! RM1.2 Million To Be Won!
New Savings Campaign by AFFINBANK

Kuala Lumpur, 1 September 2010 - In its latest consumer savings campaign, Affin Bank Berhad announced an offering of up to RM1.2 million cash deposits!

The campaign themed O.M.G. [Oh My Goshh! in English; Oh Menarik Gila! in Malay and in Chinese] starts from 1 September 2010 till 30 April 2011. It is an eight-month contest which is fully-computerised.

'AFFINBANK believes in treating its consumers fairly and our O.M.G campaign is our way of rewarding them. This campaign will cover all our existing and new conventional and Shariah-compliant savings, current and fixed deposits accounts,' said En. Idris Abd Hamid, Director of Consumer Banking, Affin Bank Berhad.

He also added that AFFINBANK believes in being relevant and is always on the look-out for convenience for its customers, thus the O.M.G mechanics that requires no forms, sms-es, calls or slogans.

To qualify, an existing customer only needs to top-up RM500 in any of his current or savings accounts or RM2,000 in his fixed deposits accounts at AFFINBANK or AFFIN ISLAMIC. As for new customers, it is the same - a customer needs to only deposit RM500 to open up a current or saving account or RM2,000 for any fixed deposits account.

Every RM500 or RM2,000 that the customer top-up or deposit into the accounts, it will automatically entitle him to an entry and the more entries he has, the higher the chances of winning.

The grand prize winner will receive a cool cash deposit of RM500,000, the first runner-up RM200,000 and the second runner-up RM100,000, which will be announced at a special draw at the end of April 2011.
 
Also, there will be ten monthly winners, each receiving RM5,000 from September 2010 till April 2011.

Idris said that AFFINBANK is aggressively moving to grow its consumer base and he believes that the O.M.G campaign will support the bank's 2010 deposit growth of 10% with its thought-provoking header as it is definitely different from the norm.

He further added that AFFIN BANK has one of the highest interest rates within its range of savings deposit products, as high as 3.8% per annum for its AFFIN FD PLUS². The rest of the other products are AFFIN PLUS, AFFIN GOLD and other similar products by AFFIN ISLAMIC.
