Affin Bank Berhad joins leading companies as Official Sponsors of Asia's largest defence and security exhibition

KUALA LUMPUR, Thursday (April 8, 2010): Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2010, which ranks as Asia's largest and one of the top five defence and government security exhibitions in the world, has secured the commitment of several world-class companies who have signed on as Official Sponsors of the mega event.

Affin Bank Berhad is signing on as sponsor for DSA 2010. As the "Official Bank", AFFINBANK believes its portfolio of financial products such as loans facilities, contract financing and even trade financing will benefit SMEs and other companies in the defence-sector.

During a ceremony held at the Ministry of Defence today, YB Dato' Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, the Minister of Defence witnessed the presentation of AFFINBANK's sponsorship cheque by En Amirudin Abdul Halim, Director of Business Banking to En Abdul Nadzeem Abdul Rahman, General Manager of DSA Exhibition and Conference Sdn Bhd.

DSA 2010, which is fully supported by Ministry of Defence, Malaysia will play host to over 200 VVIP delegations comprising top government officials from more than 30 countries. An estimated 26,000 visitors from more than 60 countries are also expected at the four-day event taking place at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur beginning April 19, 2010.
