Malaysia’s New Cheque Truncation & Conversion System
We wish to advise you that Bank
Negara Malaysia will be implementing a new Cheque Truncation
& Conversion System by the middle of 2008. With this system,
all cheques deposited at any bank branches will be processed
as local cheques. The implementation of the new system will
require the following changes:
- Cheques with a new design will be issued
(dimensions 7” x 3.5”) to enable the system
to process the cheques electronically;
- Company stamp/chop/personal seal on cheques
is NOT ALLOWED and therefore
no longer required.
AFFINBANK will be implementing
these revised guidelines with effect from 1 JULY 2007. Therefore,
please take note of the following changes with effect from 1
July 2007:

AFFINBANK will issue
new standardized cheque leaves for cheque book applications
submitted from 1 July 2007.

Existing AFFINBANK cheque books can still
be used and will be accepted for processing until 30
JUNE 2008. Please DO NOT
stamp your company chop/personal seal on the cheque leaves.

Cheques presented will be verified and
processed regardless of company stamp/chop/personal seal
on the cheques.

Sistem
Trunkasi & Penukaran Cek Baru Bank Negara Malaysia
Kami ingin memaklumkan bahawa
Bank Negara Malaysia akan melaksanakan Sistem Trunkasi &
Penukaran Cek yang baru menjelang pertengahan 2008. Dengan sistem
ini, semua cek yang dideposit di mana-mana cawangan bank akan
diproses sebagai cek tempatan. Perlaksanaan sistem ini akan
melibatkan perubahan berikut:
- Pengeluaran cek rekabentuk baru (dimensi
7” x 3.5”) bagi membolehkan cek dirposes secara
elektronik;
- CCop syarikat/cop persendirian TIDAK
DIBENARKAN dan tidak lagi diperlukan.
AFFINBANK akan melaksanakan
garis panduan baru ini berkuatkuasa 1 JULAI
2007. Untuk itu, sila beri perhatian kepada perubahan
berikut berkuatkuasa 1 Julai 2007:

AFFINBANK akan mengeluarkan
cek rekabentuk baru yang seragam untuk semua permohonan
buku cek mulai 1 Julai 2007.

Cek AFFINBANK yang sedia ada masih boleh
digunakan dan akan diterima untuk pemprosesan sehingga 30
JUN 2008. Sila jangan meletakkan cop syarikat/chop
persendirian di atas helaian cek.

Cek yang dikemukakan akan disahkan dan
diproses tanpa mengambil kira cop syarikat/cop persendirian
di atas cek.
