AFFINBANKING GROUP opens its 3rd 'All Under One Roof' Branch in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang

Klang, 21 May 2012 : Affin Bank Berhad (AFFINBANK) and Affin Investment Bank Berhad (AFFIN INVESTMENT BANK) officially and jointly opened its doors for the first time in its Affin Banking Group (ABG) history.

Officiating the branch were AFFINBANK and AFFIN Islamic Bank Berhad Chairman, Jen. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Ismail Hj Omar (Bersara) and AFFIN INVESTMENT BANK Chairman, Jen. Tan Sri Yaacob Bin Mohad Zain (Bersara).
 
Offering an 'all under one roof' branch of financial services and solutions to the growing 80,000 residents of Bandar Baru Bukit Tinggi, the branch will definitely create 'waves of opportunities' in the Klang district.

'Klang has a lot of potential and there is a niche for our ABG business model of an 'all under one roof' branch based on the population profiles, demographics and the mix of business communities here. What attracted us were the many economic factors such as the proximity of Port Klang which is currently Malaysia’s busiest port and the world's 13th busiest transshipment port. The largest AEON Jusco centre in South East Asia is also located here. Thus, the locality is very vibrant and fast growing. Our 'all-under-one roof' Bukit Tinggi Branch is our third in the country and for AFFINBANK, it is our fourth branch in the Klang district itself,' said AFFINBANK Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Zulkiflee Abbas Bin Abdul Hamid.

Jen. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Ismail Omar (Bersara), Chairman of AFFINBANK and AFFIN Islamic Bank said in his speech that its Bukit Tinggi branch is the bank's 99th branch and the bank has in plans to open another two branches this year.

He also mentioned that the Bukit Tinggi branch is a full-fledged branch offering a wide range of financial services and products including hire-purchase and has a space of 12,130 sq feet of three floors and since its soft opening on 26 March 2012, the branch has garnered good response in deposits and loans with well over 400 customers.
