Trust Receipt (TR)

Trust Receipt financing is a short term financing provided by us to buyers for their working capital requirement. The bank releases the shipping documents to the buyer against his undertaking to act as trustee or agent for the bank. The buyer will take possession of the goods, sell the goods and pay the bank the principal amount with interest.


  • Average tenor of TR is determined based on the buyers’ trade cycle to convert the goods into cash
  • Financing up to 100% of the invoice value
  • Allows early or partial settlement where interest is calculated up to the actual number of days financed

  • Malaysian buyers (Domestic Purchases & Imports)


  • Approved TR Facility with the bank where purchase/import is done under Letter of Credit or Collection terms payment
  • Application must be made in the bank’s standard Application Form, along with a TR Indemnity and Bills of Exchange, duly completed and signed by your authorised signatory/ies
  • Application must be accompanied by supporting documentation e.g. Invoices and transport documents, evidencing the underlying trade transaction
